Speech Therapy
Our pediatric programs include speech therapy is for children with differences or challenges in the way they speak, think, and/or feed and swallow. These differences and challenges are often related to conditions present at birth, but can also be acquired later in a child’s life due to injury or illness.
Clinicians who provide pediatric speech therapy are called speech language pathologists (SLPs), or speech therapists. TPI features SLPs who are recognized by the American Speech and Hearing Association for Clinical Competence and are Apraxia PROMPT trained.

Occupational Therapy
Pediatric occupational therapy is a comprehensive branch of health care that helps children address the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and/or perceptual challenges affecting their function within home, community, and academic environments. Our pediatric occupational therapists (OTs) use a holistic, person-centered approach to help each child gain independence through their primary “occupation,” which is to play and learn!
Based on best-practice theory and guidelines from the American Occupational Therapy Association, our Bradenton, Sarasota, and Lakewood Ranch pediatric occupational therapy program features interventions such as:

Reading Intervention
Our TPI therapists, including SLPs, implement personalized reading interventions for children with a range of learning differences. It’s our mission to help all kids experience just how fun, engaging, and rewarding reading can be—and help them open the door to a lifetime of learning!

Our reading intervention specialists are happy to consult with other members of your child’s educational team and can offer professional input for the development and progression of formalized support services, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Feeding Therapy
Sometimes, children who are “picky eaters” actually have specific underlying challenges affecting one or more phases of eating. Feeding therapy from our licensed SLPs can help you understand which factors are affecting your child’s feeding and swallowing, and how these factors can be addressed in order to improve your child’s health, development, safety, and independence.
Children enrolled in our feeding therapy programs come to us with a wide range of conditions, including prematurity, Down syndrome and other congenital disorders, nervous system disorders, facial muscle weakness, sensory issues, and autism spectrum disorders.
School-Based Services
Our pediatric programs include OTs and SLPs are proud to offer school-based services for individuals and groups within academic and daycare settings throughout Manatee and Sarasota counties.
School-based services offer many unique benefits, from improving care access to enhancing the collaborative support of your child’s entire educational and health care team.
